Vaxholm Fortress Museum is looking for guides for on-call employment. You should have experience as a guide and be fluent in English. As a guide with us, you will quickly receive a wealth of information regarding the history of Vaxholm Fortress and the archipelago defense, which will then be presented to our visitors, primarily in English but also in Swedish. If you speak other languages, this is an advantage but not a requirement. The position is on-call, meaning we will contact you when we receive requests for tours from companies, associations, private groups, and more. It is beneficial if you are flexible, have social skills, and are accustomed to cash handling from retail or similar. If you have any stage experience, this can also be an advantage. Living in geographical proximity to Vaxholm can be beneficial.
In addition to being part of our guide pool and taking assignments on request, there is also some opportunity to work part-time on a fixed schedule every other week during the summer when the museum is open to the public. Since we have a number of recurring guides, this cannot be guaranteed.
